The EPC design and build contract for the proposed jetty work to Phase 1 Jurong Rock Cavern was awarded to Antara Koh Pte Ltd by Main Contractor Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. The package includes dredging, soil investigations, design and construction of the Jetty. The contract duration was 16 months.
The Jurong Rock Cavern Jetty consists of three berths, six breasting dolphins, four mooring dolphins, approach trestle, 2 connecting trestles, fire pump platform, steel pipe racks and steel walkways. Total 175 steel pipe piles were installed as foundations of the jetty structures. The Jetty is designed to serve oil tankers and LPG Vessels range from 1,000 DWT to 120,000 DWT, vessel sizes range from 61m up to 270m in length.
Vessel berthing and mooring analysis was conducted to configure the arrangement of Jetty’s mooring dolphins, breasting dolphins and its platform. Loadings from vessels, platform operational loadings, functional items of mechanical and electrical facilities and piping were combined and considered in the design of the Jetty. Antara Koh Pte Ltd had provided our client with quality jetty work that meets the purpose, completed ahead of time and on budget.
Throughout the design and construction of the jetties, Antara Koh Pte Ltd had ensured on time delivery of the civil works, and integrated the Jetty with technical and functional requirements prepare for the mechanical, electrical, and piping discipline. This was achieved by working closely and coordination with various parties such as our client, jetty owner, and the M&E designer. We delivered the Jetty with good quality works, ahead of schedule and on budget. We also achieved no lost time accident for a total of 375,000 manhours.
