Procurement & Construction of Jetty 2

The Jetty 2 is the 2nd jetty for Stolthaven Singapore Pte Ltd at their Tembusu Terminal after the 1st jetty was completed in 2011 also by Antara Koh Pte Ltd. The Jetty 2 is built to service Liquid Bulk Tankers up to 45,000DWT and LPG Tankers up to 20,000DWT.

The scope of works include dredging works up to -12.1m CD to accommodate berthing of vessels to the Jetty 2, construction of a new jetty consisting of approach trestle, loading platform, 2 breasting dolphins and 4 mooring dolphins by carrying out piling works, concrete works and installation of walkways, marine fenders and mooring facilities.

One of the highlights of the Project is one mooring dolphin (MD8) is located near existing underground gas pipe. Underground scanning were carried out several times to determine the exact location of the existing underground gas pipe. The installation of foundation piles were carried out by pre-boring method with GPS positioning system to make sure the correct location and inclination of each foundation piles. RCD boring was carried out with controlled rotation and penetration speed to make sure minimum disturbance to the surrounding ground. The foundation pile will then be inserted to the pre-boring hole and grout will be pumped to fill any gap between foundation pile and the soil.
